Pearl jewellery is jewellery with pearls, one of the June birthstones. Our collection includes freshwater pearl studs, mini pearl huggies, baroque and freshwater drop earrings, a shell stud with a keshi pearl drop, pearl pendants, chokers and a T-bar necklace, freshwater pearl bracelets and a minimalist pearl bangle, in 18ct gold vermeil, 18ct gold plated and 925 sterling silver. Each product page states the pearl type.
Pearls have long been linked with purity and wisdom, which is why they are so often chosen for brides and bridesmaids. Wipe them with a soft cloth after wearing and keep them away from perfume, as our care guide explains. See also our bridesmaid gifts.
Your questions, answered
What is a freshwater pearl?
Freshwater pearls grow in mussels in lakes and rivers rather than in the sea. Each one has its own shape and lustre, so no two pieces are quite the same.
What does pearl mean?
Pearl is a June birthstone and has long been linked with purity and wisdom. It is also the traditional gift for a 30th wedding anniversary, and a classic choice for brides and bridesmaids.
Are your pearls real?
Many of our pieces use freshwater pearls, and several are natural freshwater pearls. Each product page lists the exact pearl under Materials.
How do I care for pearl jewellery?
Put pearls on last, after perfume and hairspray, and give them a gentle wipe with a soft cloth once you take them off. Store them apart from other jewellery so they do not scratch.
Can I add luxury gift packaging?
Yes. Add luxury gift packaging at checkout for £5 and your piece comes in a gift bag with ribbon, along with a polishing cloth and a warranty card. Every order can also include a free gift note with your message.
