What does amethyst mean?
Amethyst has long been linked with peace, clarity and sincerity. The ancient Greeks named it amethystos, meaning not intoxicated, as they believed it kept the wearer clear headed.
Are your February birthstone pieces real amethyst?
We use a mix of stones. Many pieces are set with amethyst CZ, the gold vermeil stud earrings feature natural amethyst, and the raw styles have an uncut look, so each product page lists the exact stone.
Is amethyst a good Valentine's gift?

Can I return it?
Yes. Website orders can be returned free within 30 days of receiving them, unworn and in their original packaging. Anything ordered from 1 November can be returned until 31 January, and engraved pieces can only be returned if faulty.
